Parasite seo with social media

Parasite seo with social media

In this blogpost I will show the complete workflow needed, when doing Parasite seo with social media. If you follow this workflow, you are almost sure to get multiple page one positions in Google.

I have devided a publishing plan that I use each time I publish an article in my websites. It includes onpage SEO, Youtube videos, and posting to various social media.

Parasite seo on social media helps your blogposts rank

The main reason we want to post to social media is, we want our blogposts to rank higher in Google. The added benefit of posting to your social media accounts is, you get multiple page one positions. Which is the essence of parasite SEO…

Each time I publish a blogpost, I post about it on all my related social media profiles. Many of them allow for links back to my article. Because of this, my blogpost allready has a bunch of backlinks from the start. Youtube is an all time favorite for parasite seo, but below I list all of the social media profiles I use.

Because of the immense domain authority of the domains of the social media, the links help push my blogposts higher in Google, than a competitors blogpost, that has got no backlinks.

Workflow of using social media for parasite seo

Parasite seo with social media posts

In the above image you can see an example of what it looks like, when you are doing it correctly. I have the first 5 out of 6 positions in Google, when searching for Parasite seo with cloud links.

Below is the complete workflow for using Parasite seo with social media. There are some similarities to my blogpost about my 7 favorite social media profiles for parasite seo, but this list is the complete list.

The starting point is publishing a blogpost or article or service page on your website. The workflow can also be applied for product or category pages in e-commerce websites.

  1. Publish an article on your website. Add keyword that you want to rank for in the H1.
  2. Create a Youtube video, targetting the main keyword of your article. Add link to blogpost in description.
  3. Create Youtube post about blogpost, add image to post.
  4. Create X article, point links to Youtube video and article. If you dont have premium account, create a normal tweet, but be sure to add links in the tweet.
  5. Post to your company page in Facebook. Add image to the post for engagement.
  6. Instagram post with image.
  7. Threads post with image. Be sure to link to article.
  8. Reddit post. For Reddit you need to rewrite the article, so you post original content.
  9. Crop your video, and create a Youtube shorts video. Link this to the main video.
  10. Repost the shorts video to Tiktok.
  11. Repost the shorts video to Instagram.
  12. Repost the shorts video to Facebook.
  13. Repost the shorts video to X.
  14. Repost the shorts video to Pinterest.
  15. Create Pinterest board  and post image to Pinterest. Link back to article.
  16. Linkedin post about your article. Link to article.

How to structure your social media posts

The engagement you can get from the social media depends on what social media it is.

When you post on X and Threads, its perfectly fine to post short posts. People are used to seeing extremely short tweets, so they dont mind that you crop your message in several tweets.

When you post to Facebook and LinkedIn, its different. People expect longer posts. I recommend to collect the individual tweets from X, and collect them into a coherent post, that can then be shared on Facebook and LinkedIn.

When it comes to Reddit, I recommend you set up your own subreddit, that you can post to. Dont reuse the same post from Facebook and Linkedin. Make sure to make it original.

Reddit is special, so dont expect big engagement, unless you are a really good writer, with super original quality content.

Example of X post

Below is an example of an X post, that has a sufficient length. The tweet is 42 words, and I got 574 views, a comment, 11 likes and 5 people bookmarked the post. If you are tweeting about your tree service company, you might not get that much engagement, but the post can still rank in Google, regardless of the engagement.

Example of Facebook post

Below is an example of a Facebook post. I typically makes the Facebook posts a bit longer, as this fits the platform better. This particular post has 123 words, and I attached an image. The reason its a good idea to attach images to your Facebook post is, they take up more space in peoples feed, as the image is being shown full size.

Hashtags for helping the algorithm

I allways use hashtags. As you can see in the examples of my posts, I allways use the jespernissenseo hashtag. There are several reasons for this.

The hashtags are clickable. When you click it, you see a collection page for all posts under this hashtag. This means, that the algorithm, and other users, can visit this hashtag, and see what is posted, and collect all the information connected to this hashtag.

If you are using a branded hashtag, as I do, then the posts are strictly about your brand. This makes it easier for the social media algorithms to understand your brand, and promote you accordingly.
