The red planet
Back in 1995 when I started studying physics, my teacher was the late Jens Martin Knudsen. He is known in the scientific community because he proposed that the red color of Mars was caused by water on the surface, sometime in the distant past. He was extremely inspiring, and was a strong believer of the scientific principle which I try to use in my daily work as an SEO. Allthough I now have a master degree in physics and quantum mechanics, I still everyday find it challenging when trying to figure out how Google works.
Working as a software tester
In 2004, I started working as a software tester in the company CSC. We were building a very large it-system to be used in hospitals in Denmark. My job was to test the software to see if it worked according to the specifications. Allthough it sounds boring, its actually a very interesting job, because you really understand a piece of software best, when trying to find all the ways it doesnt work, or at least all the exceptions. I quickly advanced to software analyst, so I was the one writing the specifications.
Building my first CMS
Inspired by that work, I started my second master degree, this time in software engineering in 2006. I was especially interested in user interfaces, and used my experience to design a complete CMS from scratch, which I launched in 2008. The CMS was designed to be both user-friendly, and seo-optimized. I had my developer team build in automation of pagetitles. titles, metatags etc based on the content in the pages that my clients were writing themselves. It was very advanced, and I have still not seen commercial plugins do what I did with my CMS back then.
Launching my first company
I launched my first company Computerpeople, in 2008, and had to abandon my second master degree halfway, because of the time pressure it was to be self-employed. My first companys focus was webdesign and SEO. We built more than 700 websites in my CMS, and I had more than 10 employees when we were the most people.Â
Launching my second company
In 2019 I sold my company and started my current company SEO Danmark. I was/am very inspired in 2018 when I heard about Kyle Roof and his lorem ipsum test, and allthough its difficult/impossible to use single variable testing in a live environment like Googles serps for real websites, I still everyday try to isolate the things that work in my SEO strategies from those that dont.
Launching YACSS
I have spent countless hours building dofollow links the manual way. Some years ago, I discovered a way to leverage the power of the Amazon subdomain, by uploading html websites to a so called bucket. Your website inherits some of the power of the Amazon domain, and this makes it the perfect way to build dofollow backlinks. At the beginning of 2022, I set out to automate this process, and april 2022, I launched YACSS. Yet Another Cloud Stacking Software. Its a fully automated web based software, that allows me to build large websites in minutes. Read more about that here:Â https://yacss.site/
